Kendra Brott is an art teacher for all ages and has spent 20 years in school systems. She was most recently at Betts Psychiatric for three years and Sheldon High School as a school counselor for 12 years. First responders, police officers, and veterans are near and dear to her heart. Kendra strives to understand each client as a whole, a unique person composed of many parts. She often employs strength-based therapy techniques and pays special attention to her clients’ values, beliefs, and attitudes towards health and wellness.
Kendra holds a master’s degree in counseling (both school and private focus) from Oregon State University and a master’s degree in teaching with a K-12 art focus from Willamette University. NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) training and participation. With over 20 years in public schools, there is not much she has not been exposed to. She is a QPR (Question, Persuade, Respond) Trainer of Trainers for suicide prevention and awareness.
Kendra grew up as a military brat and has a deep personal understanding of PTSD, bipolar disorder, autism, and schizophrenia. On the East Coast and in large parts of California, therapy is completely normal. A huge fan of helping educate society on how to handle their emotions healthily, starting at a young age. Kendra works with people of all backgrounds and is happy to welcome anyone who identifies as part of any racial, ethnic, religious, or sexual minority group.
Kendra has a husband and two children who keep her entertained with all their activities. Dirt therapy in her garden, creating new topiaries, ponds, or spending as much time on the beach as possible are always on her list.
